I think milk is a perfect crutch for someone who is low on time. When I was really pressed for time one of my favorite post-workout meals was a foot-long chicken bacon ranch from subway, washed down with half a gallon of 2%. This is when I was working full time, going to school full time (15 credit hours) and had a 6 month old German Shepherd. Assuming you have a lot of time on your hands then obviously there are better options than your milk. We don't all have that luxury.
Personally, I like the feeling of having a stomach insanely full of milk. You just can't wander too far from a bathroom.
