Dear Mr. Wendler,
I am executing the 5/3/1 + FSL + Assistance as recommended on the Forever book and, as expected, I am very satisfied. Years ago I used the traditional BBB and it was also fine. Thank you for your excellent work.
The details of my 5/3/1 FSL trainning sessions are:
-
three times a week;
-
warm-up, jump/throws, squat 5 pro, squat FSL, and assistance work
-
warm-up, jump/throws, bench press 5 pro, bench press FSL, and assistance work + SNATCH
-
warm-up, jump/throws, deadlift 5 pro, deadlift FSL, and assistance work
-
warm-up, jump/throws, ohp 5 pro, ohp FSL, and assistance work + CLEAN & JERK
The problem is that I finish the upper body training sessions feeling very exhausted.
My question is: according to your experience, could it be possible I dedicate one extra day, mantaining 3x/week scheme to execute the olys without problems regarding strength/hypertrophy? Something like:
-
warm-up, jump/throws, squat 5 pro, squat FSL, and assistance work
-
warm-up, jump/throws, bench press 5 pro, bench press FSL, and assistance work
-
warm-up, jump/throws, deadlift 5 pro, deadlift FSL, and assistance work
-
warm-up, jump/throws, ohp 5 pro, ohp FSL, and assistance work
-
warm-up, snatch, clean & jerk + oly techniques
Any suggestion from the collegues will be wellcome too.
Cheers
