Fruits vs Vegetables

I am currently doing the get shredded diet. For those of you not familiar the diet calls for lower cabs, higher fats, higher protein. The only carbs you eat are supposed to come from vegetables I believe. I was wondering if I consumed my 30-40g of carbs from fruits if this would blunt the effectiveness of the diet.

Rough caloric range with fats/carb/protein breakdown is like 160 protein/140 fat/40 carbs shooting for between 1950 and 2100 calories a day.

I would say any variation to the diet would blunt it’s effects. Otherwise, he would have included them. If you must, though, I would contain your fruits to morning and post workout.


Due to the fructose in fruits I would stick to the diet 100% and only use vegetables.
