It’s not really soup weather anymore but, oh well, I made soup. Put together a simple turkey and black bean thing.

Made the stock from a carcass I found in the freezer (originally an 18ish pound bird). Pulled almost 8 cups of shredded meat off it afterwards.

Threw a little rice in the bowl before serving, then @dt79 stopped by for lunch.

Have had a heavy cold since Saturday so decided to treat myself to a cheat meal, a full english, this morning.

Bacon x 2
Sausage x 2
Fried egg x 2
Baked beans
Hash brown
Mushrooms
Tomato
Black pudding
Sourdough toast x 2
Black coffee

I reckon about 1200 cals right there and I feel as right as ninepence.

Salmon and eggs, meal prepped over the weekend. Tossed into some chicken broth I had stewing this morning together with algae and some seaweed noodles (6 calories per 100g). Served with a side of sauerkraut and a vegan caviar (4 calories per 100g). And a pot of green tea.

Oh, and a tablespoon of miso barley to get that rich color.

Gluten free waffles without the recipe for mother’s day. Wife loaned out the cookbook. So guessed. Only the first ones stuck.

“Cinnamon toast crunch milk” ice cream, house-made waffle cone, chopped Virginia peanuts, marshmallow fluff that they hit with a blowtorch for a perfect burnt shell. From Charm School ice cream shop.

Not pictured: Smoked peanuts with drinks at the bar. Never had these before. So awesome.
