Already posted it. She doesn’t measure. So butter, Olive oil and the spices listed.

Apple sausage, grass fed homemade (mix with spices, egg, flax meal and chai seeds) beef patty, potatoes baked with onions and seasonings, beats picked from my father-in-law’s farm and a butternut squash from our garden baked in our maple syrup, olive oil and some cinnamon.

When you mean add 1 cup rice, you mean raw uncooked right?

Yeah, straight in raw - let it absorb the juices of the food rather than just water.

You can also do more than 1 cup if you’re not old and don’t have an inactive job

Just did a nice roll up with a tortilla shell, some horse radish sauce, 2 slices of brown sugar cured ham and a couple tbsp. sour kraut.

Tasty as hell, but very boring looking. Certainly not food porn worthy.

Chicken soup, I like this for lunch as I hate reheating meats but this is okay (just keep the liquid in check for travel)

Notes: takes about 25 minutes of prep but I don’t peel the root veg. It takes about an hour cook time but you only stir 3-4 times. I eat the chicken skin while prepping which makes this much more palatable!

Chop up: 1-2 onions, 1-2 stalks celery, 2-3 carrots (chili and fennel if feeling fancy)
Grate: 2-3 cloves garlic, ginger
Cube: 1 turnip (plus any other root veg e.g swede, turmip, potato - I couldn’t be arsed here)

Fry up the chopped and grated stuff in some oil/butter (and season)
When soft, add the cubed stuff

Get your roast chicken out (I just buy roasted - much easier for only a few bucks more)

Start picking apart the chicken, keep stiring the veg. I roughly chop the chicken so I’m not cooking for 2 hours.

Now, add 2 cups broth to the pot and add the chicken - make sure it’s all covered by atleast 1cm of liquid by adding water.

Reduce this down to a slow simmer over about an hour, until the chicken has broken down. Then throw in corn, peas and spinach, long enough for it to get hot - I use frozen (see can’t be arsed above) but fresh does pop more.

Makes 4 serves for big people and 3 serves for little people.

I usually serve this on rice or pasta or with crusty sourdough. Topped with hot sauce, limelime, feta, a drizel of good olive oil and fresh parsley (it looks better once pimped up with all this stuff)

You ever just throw it into a sourdough bowl?

I had clam chowder in a sourdough bowl out in Monterrey a long time ago.

It was awesome. Eat the soup, then eat the bowl!

I’ve been fiending for some good soup lately, this just sent me over the edge.

I’m a cheese addict, especially aged gouda, brie, goat. Got some brie a few days ago, been killing it as a late night snack.

Toasted sourdough, brie, 2 x avocados. This was yesterday, but had the same thing tonight, really filling for such a small snack/meal. Also had coconut water with it 8|

Do you eat the avo core? :stuck_out_tongue:

<3 ridic.

Btw, one of my dogs does. He loves to just break it apart. So I toss the core like a ball and he plays with it, then eventually takes it somewhere and rips it apart. lmao.

Throw those pits in the oven on 200, or a dehydrator if you have it. They are giant, very healthy, nuts. A lot of people blend them in thier protein shakes.

Uh, this was ridiculous. Yam+avocado, but that chicken italiano from whole foods was a nice change. It was really good.

Need to make this more often, didn’t want it to end. I think I need more onion… I used one whole white onion (hate red onion, love white/yellow onion) but I just wanted more. Saute’d onions & grilled chicken, topped with diced avocado, and some coconut water.

You inspired me to give this a try. The avo/sweet potato combo was awesome.

I coated the chicken with Grana Padano. I don’t know if it was the cheese or I did something else wrong but it basically it melted right off and by the time it was done cooking, I ended up having plain baked chicken haha
