Shout-out to @flappinit for his technique tips.
Sirloin.
And a couple of boring ole potatoes.
My god. Are they sweet or buttery? I can’t tell what’s on top.
Buttery. You brush the top with egg yolk before baking.
Kiddos birthday dinner:
No shrooms. he just doesn’t like 'em.
You didn’t make that boy pizzza for his birthday?
Nope!
I made him what he asked for! He really does love salmon.
We had pizza yesterday for the party.
Smoked and broiled drumsticks
I love the crunchy chicken skin. It’s like potato chips, but chicken!
Also, Suzhou style savoury mooncakes- stuffed with ground beef and bacon
@punnyguy @dt79
I made these with a sorority sister yesterday. Very pleased with the flakiness of the dough
This is a chaotic picture, which was taken as we were divvying things up to send home, but we had our Applefest yesterday and OMG. Homemade apple sauce, three different apple crisps/crumbles, apple scones (my favorite) and coffee cakes, and spice cookies. And then the cider, which my poor husband spent all day pressing with the kids. We bottled six quarts, but probably drank and spilled another three quarts over the course of the day. We’re planning to start earlier in the day next year because it was so much fun.
That looks awesome, and I bet smelled amazing. Like fall and spiced apple happiness.
Local grass feed beef patties, arugula, baby spinach, onion, honey mustard, Colby jack (or at least what they pass off as Colby jack in Florida), burger and living up to my corn fed reputation.
I’m not really familiar with American food. What’s the croissant looking things in the middle?
