Food Porn Thread

Since diet is at least half of this hobby I thought it’d be cool to see what everyone is eating. Maybe get some new ideas from people who are better at this than me. Luckily my wife is an awesome cook.

So I’ll get this started. Chicken thighs wrapped in nitrate free bacon spiced with smoked paprika, onion powder, cinnamon, smoked salt and pepper. Sweet potatoes with butter for good measure.

I do love me some food pictures! You should definitely check out @jamie1888 's training log. Prepare to drool.

 Thanks!!

#5

aw hell yeah I loved that thread

#6

Mmmm, that looks good. I’ll have to try bacon wrapped thighs. I usually use breast, but I prefer thighs.

#7

Costco 80/20 ground meat mixed with Worcestershire sauce, red cooking wine, garlic powder, onion powder, and some spice I forget topped with sargento mild cheddar. Cooked over indirect heat so I can appease the wife and get them medium well to make then “safe” for the kids but still really moist.

Father’s day dinner: 12oz delmonico with “taters”. If you are ever in the burg head west to Harold’s Inn in Hopewell Township. Their “Taters” are quarter inch thick cut and broasted (pressure cooked in high n6 oil) in a spice blend that’s really hard to describe. They call it “mountain style”. They are the tastiest type of potatoes I’ve ever eaten.

Hoping someone else would drop some food pics for consideration.

I’ll give it a shot shortly. My cooking hasn’t been what I’d call inspired lately but I’ve been working on a breakfast sandwich that is pretty good. It’s a Saturday morning thing for me so it’ll have to wait till next week.

#10

Mmmmm arguably the best cut you can get. I love a good Delmonico.

#11

Sea Scallops, breakfast of champions.

#12

Gotta love the obligatory veggies.

Breakfast and lunch for work days. When I’m running early breakfast is eggs. Not exactly exotic, but the macro math is easy.

#14

Just saw this thread, but I may jump in. Just making chicken soup tonight, haha, but next time I cook something that’s photo worthy…

#15

Boneless pork ribs with honey based home made barbecue sauce. Really good. Eaten outside with the wife and kids on a cool evening. I missed taking a pic of the wife’s salmon recipe yesterday. Lemon based sauce… So good.

#16

This is the opposite of food porn. I am well and truly flaccid.

#17

Go to the TRT section. They can help you out with that.

That is to food porn as Betty White is to real porn.

I’m all 'bout dem one pan meals. Chicken Piccata - boneless/skinless chicken breast, a little flour, a little egg, panko breadcrumbs, capers, fresh lemon juice - over white rice:

#19

Capers? Awesome. That’s what I was hoping to see here.
