Since diet is at least half of this hobby I thought it’d be cool to see what everyone is eating. Maybe get some new ideas from people who are better at this than me. Luckily my wife is an awesome cook.
So I’ll get this started. Chicken thighs wrapped in nitrate free bacon spiced with smoked paprika, onion powder, cinnamon, smoked salt and pepper. Sweet potatoes with butter for good measure.
Costco 80/20 ground meat mixed with Worcestershire sauce, red cooking wine, garlic powder, onion powder, and some spice I forget topped with sargento mild cheddar. Cooked over indirect heat so I can appease the wife and get them medium well to make then “safe” for the kids but still really moist.
Father’s day dinner: 12oz delmonico with “taters”. If you are ever in the burg head west to Harold’s Inn in Hopewell Township. Their “Taters” are quarter inch thick cut and broasted (pressure cooked in high n6 oil) in a spice blend that’s really hard to describe. They call it “mountain style”. They are the tastiest type of potatoes I’ve ever eaten.
Hoping someone else would drop some food pics for consideration.
I’ll give it a shot shortly. My cooking hasn’t been what I’d call inspired lately but I’ve been working on a breakfast sandwich that is pretty good. It’s a Saturday morning thing for me so it’ll have to wait till next week.
Boneless pork ribs with honey based home made barbecue sauce. Really good. Eaten outside with the wife and kids on a cool evening. I missed taking a pic of the wife’s salmon recipe yesterday. Lemon based sauce… So good.
