It amazes me how many people I run into that still have not figured out how important it is to keep a food log. We’ll spend and hour replying to BS emails but not even 15 minutes to help ensure we have the proper amounts of the nutrients we need. I came across an excellent tool for those that want to keep a food log but need something a little bit less cumbersome than transcribing labels into a notebook. If you are thinking about getting or already own a Palm © based hand held device there are several programs that you can use to track your consumption of proteins, fats, carbs, and calories. Personally, I’ve only tried “Diet & Exercise Assistant”. At first I was a little peeved at how off some of the default values were for certain foods. But the more I used it the easier it got and now it takes less than 5 seconds to tap in a meal and I’m off. Just thought this might help someone else get a new gadget and finally put it to use.
