They likely donât want anything to do with production yet due to federal restrictions on interstate commerce and use of the banking system. That does not mean that they wouldnât be conducting r&d on the growing process, a prospectus on profitability, and a million other considerations I canât even think of.
Big gears turn slowly. It took L&M about 5 years to get RYO (roll your own tobacco, turned out whole cartons of cigarettes for about $13.00) places shut down, and even longer before they started producing vaping products. They take much bigger and longer lasting steps to produce consistent and predictable products and profits.

If they enter the market this year they will be competing for market share with a thousand small grows (like vaping).
If they wait till federal laws and regulations are in place they will only have to deal with the ones that could pass muster at that level. Next, they lobby for a tax that costs 95% of everybody else left out of the production side and VIOLA! They control the market!
