FNG, Low T, Noob Docs, Need Info

Hello all,

I’m 34, 6’ 1’’ 240 pounds. I do cardio 3 times a week.

I requested testosterone test, doc didn’t think I needed it.

I’ve been battling fat and problems gaining muscle my whole life. In order to loose weight I need to go on extreme diet and cardio 1 hour everyday, no shit. If I want to gain 3 months of fat loss in this manner just eat junk food for a week (I can gain 30 pounds in three weeks). I have never used steroids, crack, meth, HGH… Nothing.

I cannot change my doctor, so I have to each my doctor.

Small swelling on shin nothing major like before

Go to docs, try to explain about estrogen causing water retention, he doesn’t agree. Tells me no more testosterone.
Confirms UTI, follow up in two weeks. I demand estrogen test, he complies.

Estradiol 32.6 pg/ml
True UTI no other causes - Doctor wanted to put a camera in my urethra to check for scaring… I refused.

Thoughts? Should I stop taking?

-----Update Feb 9----

Added actual lab results.
still no testosterone. Getting sad, tired, muscles are painful from time to time.

Your doc does not know what he is doing. You need to start reading.

In the 2nd post of the 1st topic in this forum, follow these links:

  • advice for new guys
  • things that damage your hormones
  • protocol for injections
  • finding a TRT doc

Please note references to thyroid and iodine.

Eval your overall thyroid function by checking oral body temperatures:

  • when you wake up, should be 97.7-97.8, higher is OK, 97.3 is a problem
  • also check for 98.6 mid afternoon.
  • if temps low, follow the thyroid basics explained link.

Are you getting dehydrated?

Yes I was so I increased water intake but that didn’t seem to help. I didn’t feel thirsty… I’m basing this off of dark urine which may have been due to UTI.

Updated some info. Trying to read through the topics you posted.
