After reading articles on proper hydration I realized I needed to consume more water. My question was if the water we add to protein shakes is to be counted as consuming water? Or are we to drinkan additional 16-24 cups per day not counting protein shake water?
I hate seeing threads go unanswered. So to answere your question, No. Protein powders are dry and the water you add to them helps the absorbtion. You should drink 1-2 gallons of pure, straight-up, no fillings, nature intended water. Depending on your level of exercise and supplements (like creatine use).
