Floor Presses

Im incorporating floor presses into my workouts but just had a quick question. When your elbows hit the floor on the down movement, is it just a momentary pause, then back up…or is it a rest then back up?


When I use these, I like to pause for a full second. Part of that is because I have really long arms so my sticking point is pretty high up, basically at the bottom position of the floor press. I figure doing paused reps will help me grind through the sticking point.

Of course, I only do the floor press as supplemental, not as an ME.
