I was wondering if Flax oil and Olive oil are substitutible? In my house we have Olive oil out the wazoo, but I’d have to buy flax…so if they’re equivalent, I’d rather use what I don’t have to pay for 
What’s do you guys recommend as a daily dose of either of them?

No - olive oil is a great source of monounsaturated fats and flax is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids. You need both types of fat and these two oils have very different fat profiles.
