Ok, here is the deal. I recently received Magnificent Mobility and have been working on my mobility, but I notice that I have many imbalnces, and quite a bit of weaknesses. I wondered if someone could point me in the direction of some beginner programs or articles or books to help address my weaknesses and fix what I have done to my body through years of bad training and playing sports. For example, My hamstrings are weak compared to my quads, My back is weak compared to my chest, my mobility is not good, I dont think my glutes are active at all, and Im not quite sure how to fire them (or even what it feels like when they fire!), and my balance is not very good. Like I said I have a lot of problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Read all of Eric Cressey’s articles
…Starting with this…
I think this will give you a general outline of exactly what it’s going to take to get you on track the fastest:
I figured anything by Cressey was a good start, and like I said, I have mag mobility and have watched and started implementing those movements into my training.
I will defiitely keep foam rolling and start using some static stretching as well. This may be a dumb question, but how do you fire your glutes? Is it just squeezing your cheeks?
I feel like my body is so out of whack that I dont even know what efficient movement feels like! Again, thanks for everyones help, I have printed out all the articles and am going to start implementing ASAP.
