Fitness and Strength for Rugby

Hi
Iam new to this forum want to increase my fitness and strength for Rugby (can’t afford $95) for the Renegade program will the Football (Book)programm be suitable what training program should I use new to renegade.
Also what about nutrition (not intrested in Roids).
I have looked at some of the programs but some mention specialist equipment like hurdles.
Iam 32 185lbs could do with increasing bulk and reducing bf to around 10%.(now around 18%.

The “Renegade Training for Football” book is a good reference guide in that it shows you the components that make up Renegade Training (Agility work, rope work, weight training, GPP, stretching, etc.), but it does not show you how to put the program together. It is valuable, but you may want to check out some of the Coache’s programs on T-mag to get an idea of how they are set up (Check out Renegade Training, Fat to Fire and Renegade Training for Football). That’s your best bet if you can’t afford to buy a program. I would contact Coach Davies for some advice. He may be able to help you out. Also, check out the Renegade Forum and post this question there. As for nutrition, KISS (keep it simple stupid). This means, plenty of lean meats, eggs, fish, vegetables, fruits, cottage cheese and raw nuts. Avoid the junk food and processed food. If you eat bread, stick with whole wheat. Also try to stick with whole wheat pasta and brown rice. Check out “Foods that Make You Look Good Nekid” and John Berardi’s “Massive Eating” articles. They will give you what you need to know.

Hello, I would start out by reading about 20 past issues of T-mag (at least). There is so much diet and workout info there that your head will spin. Then do a forum search on Rugby, there are a lot of old threads about it.

What position do you play?

Hi
