Fish, Chicken and Waffles II

Just can’t stay away any longer.

Guess I’ll start another log. Got some goals to track and no better place that good old TN.

Guys at work started a biggest loser contest which I didn’t expect anyone to follow through with but today found out that one guy has lost 15lbs and another has lost 11lbs. Myself I’d lost 6 or so pounds and relaxed. Now that there is a real competition need to get my act together.

Will be running DC for old guys (I made that name up) just a higher rep DC style program with HIIT on off days and steady state cardio on working days.

Will get a current weight tomorrow morning.

Calorie goals: 2020 per day, fat and proteins mostly.

Here is what I ate yesterday.

10-1-12

Breakfast

3 egg whites
3 whole eggs
1/4 cup cheese

snack
5oz turkey breast
1oz almonds

lunch
5oz turkey breast
cups of green beans

dinner
8oz steak
1oz almonds

pre bed
1oz almonds

Training yesterday

Rack pull (just below the knee) 405x7

Cardio today at lunch:

20 minute fast walk goal: lap the old ladies who walk there as many times as I can, got 10 today. Keeps me walking fast

Hip mobility stuff (10 minutes)

Full court sprints. Started at one side of the gym, sprint the distance and walk back repeat. Total 22

Did something like this the other day and liked it so I’ll keep at it.

This morning, went for a 30 minute walk it was cold as hell, might be time to fire up the treadmill. God I hate the treadmill.

Training yesterday

DB curls (rest pause) 40’s 10-5-5=20 reps

Pinwheels curls (straight set) 50’sx17

Calf raise (SS) 3p’sx12

Leg press (2xSS) 12p’sx6 12p’sx6

WM 10p’sx20

Solid session over all. Increased weights on most lifts so I’m happy.

Diet:

Post AM walk snack:
1oz almonds

Breakfast:
6 eggs- 2 whole 4 whites
1/4 cup cheese

Lunch:
1 whole chicken breast
1 chicken wing
1oz almonds

4th meal:
1oz almonds

Dinner:
6 oz of beef
1 small cob style salad

Protein was way low and fat a little to high, to many almonds (god I love almonds).

Last few days have been suck. Wife went into the hospital Thursday morning with vomiting, diarrhea and talking crazy. After a day and a half we found out that she had some swelling of the brain from radiation causing the problems and some roids later she’s back to normal. She’s still in the hospital so they can make sure they’ve got everything under control.
Needless to say my diet has sucked mostly because I haven’t eaten much. Here it is 2p and I’ve had a hand full of almonds to eat all day.

Thursdays food:

Breakfast:
4 egg whites
2 whole eggs
1/4 cup cheese

Lunch:
nothing

Dinner:
12 oz strip steak

snack:
hand full of almonds

Friday:

breakfast:
none

lunch:
maui Jim salad from 54th street bar and grill

Dinner:
all meat omelet from IHOP

No training or cardio except from walking around the hospital for hours on end.

Todays weight 229.0 (again)

Over eating of some almonds, could be way worse, keep it up best you can.

Dont underestimate the mileage you probably got in all that walking.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers everyone. She is home now and doing 100% better. It was swelling on the brain due to radiation and is now under control with a steroid. I’m back at work and in my routine. Plan on hitting the gym this afternoon and eating like I should.

Yesterday training

DB incline BP 85’sx8-4-1=13
Standing MP 135x6-3=9
Deadlift 405x6

This went as to be expected after 4 days of little food and lots of stress, frustrating. Not going to linger on it, it is what it is. Trying to milk a little bit of positive out of it, the deads might as well have been beltless, lost enough inches I need to adjust my belt down, it was doing little to nothing. The only thing about the lever belt that sucks, can’t just go to the next hole, gotta use a screw driver.

Food:

I don’t like these numbers, way to little proteins way to many carbs. Going to take a good look at my diet, while low calorie I need nearly 100g more protein at least.
