First Week Back

After 2.5 years finally got my first week back under my belt. Very humbling. At least I can still deadlift and squat my own weight :-/ Bench is just terrible.

I am thankful that when I had previously trained I was working out with someone that taught me the right way to do the exercises. Specifically the squat and DL. The guy next to me that was doing the 87 degree, heels raising, 135lb. squat looked at me like I was insane when I went well below parallel on each of mine with 185lbs. (like I said I have a lot of work to do!) Felt good, hope to get up to working weights of 225 soon.

Well, at least you’re back. It always sucks at first, and for quite some time thereafter, I’ll bet. At any rate, stay the course and you’ll be fine in the long run.

It always hurts getting back into it, I’m sore as hell right now.

Welcome back. I too am just getting back into the swing of things. But after only 7 weeks off.
Im weak as can be and my chest was sore for 5 days after my last work out and I took it rather easy.
