I had my labs completed a few months back:
Cholestrol 207 (<200)
HDL 49 (>40)
Triglycerides 55 (<150)
LDL 144 (<100)
Cholestrol 4.2 (<5)
Non HDL 158 (<130)
I’ve had incredible fatigue, weight gain (no diet change), and losing gym workout strength over the past 6 months to a year. 5’9 204 pounds, body fat around 22%. I take in around 180g protein per day, watch what I eat for the most part but a day or two a week I knock down a burger or cheesesteak. Drink maybe 6 beers every other week when we have friends over.
Doctor started me on Testosterone Cypoinate (210mg/ml) taking .25ml shots twice per week. I’m a bit nervous about my first shot and starting.
Seems to be a lot of knowledge going on around here. I thought I would check in for any advice or feedback before beginning what will be a lifetime committment?
Not closely enough, apparently. Take it from someone who was heavy and dropped a ton of weight before starting trt: you’re going to find it even harder to control your diet the first few months. You’re going to be so much hungrier than you are now. Get it under control and fast, otherwise you’re asking for trouble.
I was starving my first month or so on TRT, it was insane compared to what I was used to… so they aren’t kidding about being hungry. Gained almost 20lbs but I was under 150lbs and 6’ tall so wasn’t a horrible thing
Monday - Didn’t feel any different.
Tuesday - Felt great in the morning. Good mood
with good energy. Around noon, too
much energy and felt anxious. Anxiety
attack in the afternoon and another for
1.5 hours before sleep.
Wednesday - Pretty damn tired. Anxiety comes
and goes in flashes of an hour each
give or take.
You will not do well on twice weekly dosing, some guys are sensitive to these big unature peaks and trough which T-cypionate produces. You will need more frequent dosing or I expect this anxiety to worsen after each new injection.
You need daily dosing, this will smooth out the peaks and troughs causing the issues. An EOD protocol may reduce the anxiety, but daily dosing will show superior results. You should be using 27-29 gauge insulin syringes in the shoulders and quads.
I had no issues on daily dosing, it was easy and smooth and just got better as time went on, EOD dosing caused peaks and troughs which I could feel and it was a roller coaster during the first 7 weeks.
