Hey everyone just wanted some advice from some experienced lifters. I am planning on competing in my first meet in early December. The exact date is not posted yet. I have been lifting weights for years just recently taking it more serious and getting interested in competing.
I'm following an Ed coan 12 week peaking cycle for this meet and the 12th week of the program will be finished dec 4. Are you supposed to use week 12 as your meet day numbers? That way there is no deload week before the meet. Maybe I should use a different program? I am 28 years old, 205 lbs, squat 330, bench 315, deadlift 440 at the moment but looking to get stronger before meet and most importantly strengthen my squat and deadlift. Any help or advice on programs or meet day advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
