Firefox Questions

Is there AdBlock in Google chrome or the new Internet Explorer 8? That is really the only reason I use Firefox, it is SO nice to not get any ads AT ALL

There’s a reason for this; and a good one. “Every tab you’re using is run independently in the browser, so if one app crashes it won’t take anything else down.” - http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/features.html#

Presumably it’s implemented through multiple process; but maybe not. Never the less in order to implement this core data structures are going to have to be replicated so one instance can’t destroy another’s data.

And I just want to add that you can’t (well, you’re not SUPPOSED to be able to) remove IE, anyway.

True.

Even after removing it via Add/Remove Programs, it can still be run just by typing “iexplore.exe” in the run menu.

Interesting

Get firefox.

Other than being safer and everything, it has tabs. Instead of opening a million different windows, it just opens up tabs in the same window and you can switch between the tab. Saved me a shit ton of frustration because now when rapidly clicking away porn my pc doesn’t freezy anymore…[/quote]

IE has tabs too.

Firefox is better than IE in my opinion (for many of the reasons already stated) but IE is necessary for many web applications that work on a .net framework.

You can run both browsers on the same machine with no problem.

You can also get free open source virus software and not have to pay for it which works better than McAfee and does not give any of the performance issues:
