HEY ALL OF YOU FIREFIGHTERS LURKING OUT THERE!!!
I wasn’t sure where to post this, but I’d like to know how many firefighters frequent this site, where you work, and what type of workout you use. Also, what does you’re department require you to do regarding physical fitness?
I’ll start. I am a Professional FF/EMT, 6 years on the job, drive the ladder truck. I do a powerlifting workout, focusing on the 3 major lifts. I would like to start adding olympic lifts, but our ceiling is too low and the floor would fall in if we dropped weights up in the weightroom. I also train every year for the mini marathon and run 1-2 miles per shift. (smetimes 3-5)
I would like to see a firefighter interest topic soon.
