Fingertip Strengthening?

Hey guys, how would you go about strengthening your fingers? What exercises would you do and would you train them with high volume or low volume? Thanks

get a 5 gallon bucket and fill it with rice or sand… stick your hand in and move your hand/fingers around for a while.

You might want to check out the GripBoard. It’s another site, dedicated to grip and hand strength, and a lot of the top names in grip post there – it’s analagous to having Ronnie Coleman answer your posts on T-Nation.

Play video games.

The strongest hands in the world are here- www.gripboard.com

But be careful, this stuff is more addictive than crack!

you be poking out the eyes of your enemies in no time.

overrated

Gripboard like everyone else mentioned. You can also pick up John Brookfields Mastery of Hand Strength as a nice starting point. A cheap book that is pretty thorough and easy to read. Grip stuff is quite addictive, especially during the winter months when you can get outside for event training.

There are many good finger strengthening movements. Here is just one:

Take two 45lb. plates (or whatever you can handle) grab them by your finger tips (fingers hooked around the part that juts out thumb on other side). Now go for a walk. When your fingers feel numb and you are about to drop the plates set them down. When you have recovered after a couple of minutes do it again. Three sets at the end of your workout should do the trick.
