Finding a Doctor

I just got insurance last week for the first time in about 6 years.

The insurance website lists a bunch of doctors who take the insurance, and put them in order of what’s closest to my house.

All I have is a name and that they are board certified.

It would be nice if I didn’t have to make an appointment with a random name based on his location.

I don’t have any family close by who I can get recommendations from either.

I’m in Oklahoma City if anyone has any suggestions. Don’t know any other way but to make an appointment and find out how I feel about him.

just get catastrophic insurance and stay away from doctors…

I don’t want to pay $600 for a blood test that might tell me everything is fine.

And since I’ve had bad heart burn for the past 3 years, and it’s gotten significantly worse in the past 6 months or so, I think it’s time to get insurance before I have to pay out of pocket for a procedure again.

Paid over $4000 for the kidney stones I had last year…including a $900, 5 minute ride in an ambulance. :-/
