Also, forgive my ignorance, but I thought it was the other way around?:
What you can do on BB bench, don’t expect to be able to do on DB bench becausde of the additional stabilizer strength needed?
Likewise, I thought if you get your DB significantly stronger, you’re BB bench would also go up?
This is true. When it comes to topics like this, it may help to look at who is giving what advice.
Actually I think I got it from a Poliquin article.
So I’m asking you then, whatever you max on BB, can you get the same on DBs?
I haven’t done the barbell in years, but back when I started using dumbbells, I had managed 405lbs on the bench press. I was barely using the 120lbs dumbbells at first for my last set when I switched. So no, most will not see the same weight using dumbbells that they saw on the bench press. There may be exceptions, but they don’t make the rule.
Notice how I DONT HATE on you and call your lifts bullshit…

Dude, some of the people here have seen video of me doing quite a bit of weight, plus I am considerably bigger than you. I doubt there are many on the site at this point that think I need to make up how much I lift.
There are many people who claim large weights but who post pictures showing NO muscle mass. Credibility is the issue.

I live in Ann Arbor (20mins from hudson) and also will be working at Chrysler on Mack Avenue in Detroit next week. We could work out together and put this all to rest

Since when is calling your lifts bullshit hating on you?
Everybody here KNOWS your lifts are bullshit. But just because we know your lifts are bullshit doesn’t meant people are going all Hitler on you; does it?
also the Op excused himself from posting a video by stating “even if i posted a video of me accomplishing said feat of strength, it would not prove that it is indeed me”.
(something to that extent).
OP, i do not doubt your strength because there is no way of knowing, but please do post a video of you accomplishing said feat of strength…
yes we T-members will not know that it is indeed you, but at least we will know that someone that size can lift that amount of weight…
i did not bother reading the entire thread, but please back up your claims with visual evidence…if you would be willing to take the time.

This sounds like a nice idea…

For what it’s worth, I believe him. There are plenty of strong dudes that just lift and don’t feel the need to post on forums and shit like that.
And it’s always the same story when they come on the forums. They get flamed to hell, then when there is finally some type of verification everybody sings a different tune.

Why is it so hard to believe there are people stronger than you?[/quote]
I can’t speak for everyone, but in my case I don’t have any problem believing someone is stronger than me.
However, I think the OPs claims put him as strong as nearly anyone his weight nearly anywhere, and that’s what is hard to believe when it’s in the context of asking how the lifts would carry over to barbell bench. You’d almost have to know that already if your gym had a barbell bench, wouldn’t you?
I’m sorry this video puts everyones dumbell bench to shame
So I went to the bar last night with some kids from class, one kid who I was much larger then was claiming retarded numbers, 380 pound bench for reps after downing an 18 pack at his friends house. Purely retarded stuff, and you know what I did, nothing, I listened nodded my head and ignored it. That’s what you do, no drama, no fighting, no attention.

Well, I believe this kid. I truly do. I too have only been training for 6 months, weigh 175 pounds, and I can squat 500 pounds, deadlift 600 pounds, and bench 150 pound DBs for many reps. The thing is I have a question as well: what will provide me with better chest development, the Flye Machine or cable crossovers?
Ill put it like this…tgere are obviously a lot of jealous ppl on this thread. Why are they jealous? Because they been doing this a lot longer than me and most will never get to what I got to. Ive read about ppl lifting for 10+ years and have yet to achieve a 300 pound bp. You got to face the fact that some ppl are just naturally talented at certain things.
When I started off I was 160 pounds and really never touched a weight. All I did was pushups. The first tine I ever benched I was already naxing at my bodyweight, in fact I benched 165 pounds, that give me 35 pounds below a 200 lb bench. So I started maxing at 5 lbs over my bw and I never really lifted weights before.
I dont mean to sound arrogant or full of myself. But you all bring out the worst in a person and I usually dont get like this. Some of you will make the pope cuss you out.
I dont know if any of you have heard of Kimbo Slice. Now heres a man with no martial arts training. No boxing training. He can just fight! Now when he came into the MMA league, alot of those fighters did him like a lot of you are doing me. They didnt want to believe someone who never set foot im a martial arts training studio could come in and fight not only on their level, but better than them.
And these same black belts and what not got in the ring with him and got knocked the hell out. I know it hurt their pride, because some of them spent most of their lives training and here comes some Joe Nobody off the streets who straight knocks them out after all their karate lessons.
I know it would make a lot of ppl feel better if I said: Im 6’3 280 pounds 38 years old with 20 years of training and can press a pair of 145’s for 10 reps. But thats not me and I can only be me. i got another 16 years until Im 38. So anyone who doesnt like what I can do tough!
Like I said some ppl just naturals at whatever, and you all bring the worst out of a saint.
clip, just take up borrek’s invitation and all of this will be settled. Until then everyone is just going to keep calling your lifts bullshit (as they probably are). I’m not saying these lifts are impossible but at your age and weight a bench that big along with a DL that is over 3x bw is highly improbable and probably would have gotten you noticed at a national level.
What are your other lifts like (Squat, weight chin/pull)? I think everyone will get a good laugh at the fake numbers you throw out here.
Here I thought he was doing a great job at being a troll.
I like how his last post was all sophisticated or mature sounding but early in the thread he is talking like a gangster that can’t speak properly tell people fuck you.
