Fiber Supplements?

Is there any purpose to these? If so, how can they improve one’s diet?

Do a search next time please.

Benefits:

  1. Promotes bowel movements
  2. Decreases GI of a meal by a certain degree (something like X points for 4 g of fiber from beta glucan)
  3. Fills you up during dieting down

yes but just eat a shit ton of veggies and fruit, some oats and youll be A.O.K

Don’t mean to hijack. I’ll probably get flamed for this statement. But I am a poor college student, and I really mean poor. I can barely afford the basics. Chicken, oats, tuna, rice, milk, CC, etc…

I buy veggies but I go through them too fast, are they 100% necessary if I take a multivitamin and supplement fiber?

Thanks

Don’t buy supplements if you have a hard time affording basic foods.

Wow… yes vegetables are necessary. They provide you with many positives beyond fiber and vitamins. Plus they are pretty cheap, unless you always want them fresh. I buy the generic frozen bags of vegetables that are ~$1/bag for 16oz.

There is no way that you cannot afford fruits and veggies. Last time I checked, meat was MUCH more expensive than f&vs. I believe you just need to adjust your priorities.
