Feet on Bench to Set Arch

This is a beginner question but it’s something I need to know in order to not embarrass myself. Is it against the rules (of any fed that you’re aware of) or considered bad etiquette to set your arch by putting your feet on the bench, lifting your butt in the air, driving your upper back into the bench, and then setting your feet on the ground at a meet? Thats how I set up for bench and I’ve seen other people do the same in training, but I realized the other day that I’ve never seen someone do it at a meet, so I started wondering if putting your feet on the bench was against the rules or frowned upon or something.

To be clear: I’m not talking about benching with my feet on the bench, just putting my feet on the bench and driving my upper back into the bench to set my arch and get my back tight. I can provide a video if need be, but hopefully someone out there knows what I’m talking about.

It is not bad at all nor is it illegal. I do it…

Awesome, thanks Reed.
