Favourite Song Lyric

Any song by Paris is tops in my books but these lyrics are particularly to the point. Covers everything from slavery, the man-made origin of AIDS, censorship in rap music, poor people (and how they’re kept poor), US planned 9/11 attacks, and the war on terrorism (the war against anything non-white).

Evil by Paris (Sonic Jihad album)

They don’t mind you givin the latest rap
They don’t mind your being hoes
They don’t mind your being bitches
They don’t mind you being whatever image that Viacom and BET can come up with
But what they don’t want you to know…
That you’re the ones that can redefine civilization if you take time to do it

It’s a Guerrilla Funk-orchestrated counter-attack
Formulate and infiltrate em so the people react
See if I was wicked I would pick and stick to a plan
To rule the world and trick em, this is how it’d begin

See I’d have to find a way to keep the people enslaved
Behave, teach the babies it’s my way or the grave
And start with the body, workin’ labor for free
And give em fake religion so they worshippin’ me

And see and when the free labor play out, I’d let it go
But only after I made enough to control
Then I’d tell em that the Afterlife is better than this
And that they should love their enemies when faced with contempt

I’d persist with some history that I would rewrite
In a school system where I’d keep the money too tight
I’d let em all know just where they belong in my world
Turn the boys into felons, makin’ hookers of girls

Swirled up in my plan, build jails to keep
All my prisons full of niggas, have em workin’ for free
See with ghetto-economics in check, I’d keep em broke
Teach em only to respect sports, music and dope

Control the content of lyrics, now only the sound
Of sex, dope and murder in a song is allowed
Tell em “Niggas ain’t shit” every move that they make
And that black is dirty so they never try to be great

Can you relate? I’d laugh, watch em murder for scraps
Set it up so they’d die over crack I provide
Do it right, and I’d see they try to be like me
Try to be the biggest “G” up in these murderous streets

I’d teach, manhood means how many women ya fuck
How many babies you can make, responsibility ducked
Fuck a job, real men are pimps, that’s what I’d teach
And if bitches wanna trip, then them bitches get beat

I’d see it all through, never lose and pass a new law
Give em 3 strikes so the men are constantly gone
Yeah, if I was evil they would think I do no wrong
See it’s lethal how I keep em in their place so long, believe…

Chorus:
I got my eyes upon you, and all the things that you do
Some close they eyes but mine can see, all the evil surroundin’ me
So what I’m ‘posed ta do, when I can see right through?
Expose the lies and snatch the sheets, fight the evil surroundin’ me

After all is said and done here and I could afford
I’d concentrate deeply on controllin’ abroad
And think about a way to take control of they land
I’d create a virus made to murder people en masse

Last time was Tuskegee, but now it’s for real
House Bill 15090 would just kill
With germs that would murder with sperm and blood drips
And kill em all worse than burned, they’d die quick

See to understand, you could witness the plan
Through the green-monkey sham they would think it began
And while we argue over the cost, they’d all die
With generations all being lost with no fight

I’d continue with the pain, make it oh-so plain
I’d manipulate the market for my capital gain
Keep the people all broke and confused and underclass
Give my homies all executive bonuses through the crash

And if the heat get too hot, I’d plant a bomb
Or wreck a plane, just like Hitler back in the day
And scare all the people, they’d forget about me
They’d forget about elections and the way that we cheated

See me blame it on a foreigner and non-white men
Celebrate my gestapo with a positive spin
Then manipulate the media - it’s U.S. first
Get the stupid-ass public to agree with my words

Then I’d make the play, takin’ all their freedoms away
Incarcerate anybody that’ll get in my way
Make em censor any media that challenge the mold
Give em bullshitty shows just like Anna Nicole’s

Control the message in the music - it’s gangsta fo’ sho’
Give em diamonds, never tell em 'bout the conflict zones
Never tell em 'bout the murder in Sierra Leone
Never tell em how the diamonds make em murder their own

It’s all too easy, if I was evil that’s how I’d rock it
Make sure that my propaganda won’t ever stop it
Got 120 channels, but it’s nothin’ to watch
Now 11:55 be the time on the clock, believe…

"Some people tell me that I need help

Some people can shut the fuck up and go to hell"

Cypress Hill

I would not say that these are my favorite lyrics of all time, but they are my favorite pre workout lyrics.

Hatebreed…

Destroy Everything

A new life begins
Destroy everything
Obliterate what makes us weak
Destroy everything
Decimate what threatens me

Cleanse this world with flame
End this, cleanse this
Rebuild and start again
Obliterate what makes us weak

End this and embrace the destruction
And this and embrace new life
NEW LIFE

Even an empty threat deserves a response you won’t soon forget
I must destroy everything that tries to infect
Even an empty threat deserves a response you won’t soon forget
I must destroy everything that tries to infect

Destroy everything
Obliterate what makes us weak
Destroy everything
Decimate what threatens me

Cleanse this world with flame
End this, cleanse this
Rebuild and start again
Obliterate what makes us weak

End this and embrace the destruction
And this and embrace new life
NEW LIFE

Even an empty threat deserves a response you won’t soon forget
I must destroy everything that tries to infect
Even an empty threat deserves a response you won’t soon forget
I must destroy everything that tries to infect

A new life begins
Destroy everything
Obliterate what makes us weak
Destroy everything
Decimate what threatens me
Destroy everything
So a new life can begin

Destroy everything
Rebuild and start again…again

“Time, won’t leave me as I am. But time, won’t take the boy out of this man” - U2, City of Blinding Lights. This song is a lyrical masterpiece.

“City Of Blinding Lights”

The more you see the less you know
The less you find out as you go
I knew much more then than I do now

Neon heart, day glow eyes
A city lit by fireflies
They?re advertising in the skies
For people like us

And I miss you when you?re not around
I?m getting ready to leave the ground
Oh you look so beautiful tonight
In the city of blinding lights

Don?t look before you laugh
Look ugly in a photograph
Flash bulbs, purple irises
The camera can?t see

I?ve seen you walk unafraid
I?ve seen you in the clothes you made
Can you see the beauty inside of me
What happened to the beauty I had inside of me

And I miss you when you?re not around
I?m getting ready to leave the ground
Oh, you look so beautiful tonight
In the city of blinding lights

Time, time, time, time
Time won?t leave me as I am
But time won?t take the boy out of this man

Oh, you look so beautiful tonight
Oh, you look so beautiful tonight
Oh, you look so beautiful tonight
Yeah, the city of blinding lights

The more you know the less you feel
Some pray for, others steal
Blessings are not just for the ones who kneel
Luckily

New World Man:
He’s got to make his own mistakes
And learn to mend the mess he makes
He’s old enough to know what’s right
But young enough not to choose it
He’s noble enough to win the world
But weak enough to lose it

Turn the Page:
Every day we’re standing in a time capsule
Racing down a river from the past
Every day we’re standing in a wind tunnel
Facing down the future coming fast
It’s just the age
It’s just a stage-
We disengage-
We turn the page…

Octavarium:
[First]
Our deadly sins feel his mortal wrath
Remove all obstacles from our path
[Second]
Asking questions
Search for clues
The answer’s been right in front of you
[Third]
Try to break through
Long to connect
Fall on deaf ears and failes muted breath
[Fourth]
Loyalty, trust, faith and desire
Carries love through each darkest fire
[Fifth]
Tortured Instanity
A smothering hell
Try to escape but no avail
[Sixth]
The calls of admirers
Who claim they adore
Drain all your lifeblood while begging for more
[Seventh]
Innocent victims of merciless crimes
Fall prey to some madmen’s impulsive designs
[Eighth]
Step after step
We try controlling our fate
When we finally start living it has become too late
Trapped inside this Octavarium

I’m 2 dope and I sport tight wranglers,
don’t say a word or I’ll kick you in the neck, bitch!

My friends are coming over to my moms basement bringing funyons and Mountain Dew

It’s that time of the night, we turn on the black light, let the Dungeons and the Dragons begin

It’s D&D
Fighting with the legends of yore
It’s D&D
Never kissed a lady before

Now the Lord of The Rings, the Dark Crystal and things, we use these as a reference tool

And when we put on our cloaks and tell warlock jokes we’re the coolest kids in the school

Now Tyke’s a real bastard, but a fair dungeon master, he’s got hitpoints and charisma to lend

And I rehearse in my room or what I call the “Dragon’s Tomb”, when I’m not I’m with my girlfriend

It’s D… wait, sorry, you got a girlfriend?

Yeah… Yeah I… No

It’s D&D

LIVE FOR THIS [HATEBREED]
Let’s go!
Live for this, Live, Live
Live for this
Live for this, Live, Live
If you don’t live for something, You’ll die for nothing.
Through the best and the worst
The struggle and sacrifice.
For the true who’ve remained and the new blood.
Motivation, undying allegiance
Striving through the hardships and affliction.
Every drop of blood
Every bitter tear
Every bead of sweat
I live for this
Live for this, Live, Live
Live for this
Live for this, Live, Live
If you don’t live for something you’ll die for nothing.
What we have are not possessions we own
It’s not weighed by greed or personal gain
This is real a desire for freedom.
A place apart from a world in abandon.
Every drop of blood
Every bitter tear
Every bead of sweat
I live for this
Live for this, Live, Live
If you don’t live for something you’ll die for nothing.
I live for this.
Every drop of blood
Every bitter tear
Every bead of sweat
I live for this

THIS IS NOW [ALSO HATEBREED]
Cause this is now (Now!)
How can I change tomorrow if I can’t change today
This is now (Now!)
If I control myself I control my destiny
This is now (Now!)
How can I change tomorrow if I can’t change today
This is now (Now!)
If I control myself I control my destiny

The Clash “Death or Glory” is a classic, and oh soo true.

'n every gimmick hungry yob digging gold from rock 'n roll,
Grabs the mike to tell us he’ll die before he’s sold,
But I believe in this and it’s been tested by research,
He, who fucks nuns, will later join the church.

The bullets and bombs
Who stuff the banks
And staff the party ranks
More for Gore or the son of a drug lord
None of the above
Fuck it cut the cord

Lights out

Kinda puts this whole website in perspective…

“The Green Fields of France”

oh how do you do, young willy mcbride
do you mind if i sit here down by your graveside
and rest for a while in the warm summer sun
i’ve been walking all day, and im nearly done
and i see by your gravestone you were only nineteen
when you joined the great fallen in 1916
well i hope you died quick
and i hope you died clean
oh willy mcbride, was is it slow and obscene

did they beat the drums slowly
did they play the fife lowly
did they sound the death march as they lowered you down
did the band play the last post and chorus
did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

and did you leave a wife or a sweetheart behind
in some loyal heart is your memory enshrined
and though you died back in 1916
to that loyal heart you’re forever nineteen
or are you a stranger without even a name
forever enshrined behind some old glass pane
in an old photograph torn, tattered, and stained
and faded to yellow in a brown leather frame

did they beat the drums slowly
did they play the fife lowly
did they sound the death march as they lowered you down
did the band play the last post and chorus
did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

the sun shining down on these green fields of france
the warm wind blows gently and the red poppies dance
the trenches have vanished long under the plow
no gas, no barbed wire, no guns firing now
but here in this graveyard that’s still no mans land
the countless white crosses in mute witness stand
till’ man’s blind indifference to his fellow man
and a whole generation were butchered and damned

did they beat the drums slowly
did they play the fife lowly
did they sound the death march as they lowered you down
did the band play the last post and chorus
did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

and i can’t help but wonder oh willy mcbride
do all those who lie here know why they died
did you really believe them when they told you the cause
did you really believe that this war would end wars
well the suffering, the sorrow, the glory, the shame
the killing and dying it was all done in vain
oh willy mcbride it all happened again
and again, and again, and again, and again

did they beat the drums slowly
did they play the fife lowly
did they sound the death march as they lowered you down
did the band play the last post and chorus
did the pipes play the flowers of the forest

Thrice- “The Melting Point Of Wax”

I’ve waited for this moment
All my life and more
And now I see so clearly
What I could not see before.
The time is now or never
This chance won’t come again
Throw caution and myself into the wind.

There’s no promise of safety with these secondhand wings
But I’m willing to find out what impossible means.
A leap of faith.

Parody of an angel
Miles above the sea
I hear the voice of reason
Screaming after me
“You’ve flown far too high boy now you’re too close to the sun,
Soon your makeshift wings will come undone”

But how will I know limits from lies if I never try?

There’s no promise of safety with these secondhand wings
But I’m willing to find out what impossible means.
I’ll climb through the heavens on feathers and dreams
'Cause the melting point of wax means nothing to me.
Nothing to me
Nothing to me

I will touch the sun or I will die trying.
Die Trying.

Fly on these secondhand wings
Willing to find out what impossible means
I’ll climb through the heavens on feathers and dreams
'Cause the melting point of wax means nothing to me
Nothing to me
Means nothing to me
Miles above the sea.

And a fighter by his trade
And he carries the reminders
Of every glove that laid him down
Or cut him, till he cried out
In his anger and his shame

Power and the money, money and the power
Minute after minute, hour after hour
Everybody’s running, but half of them ain?t looking
What’s going on in the kitchen, but I don’t know what’s cooking

If they can’t understand it, how can they reach me
