I like really intense trance/hardhouse/hardstyle as well…

Some trance I’m into is DJ Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, and Daft Punk makes some actually really good shit.

Emo

I listen to pretty much anything, but the only thing my balls will allow me to listen to in the gym(currently) is…

Manowar
Helloween
Iron Maiden
Judas Preist
Jedi Mind Tricks
Army of the Pharoahs

Chicane Live at the Palladium is what was playing in my car on the way to work today.

There are sets out there called “Tunnel Trance” I believe they are up to about 50 editions now that are double cd length. Most of which are at least pretty good and some excellent.

Just about anything with gatecrasher in the title. Paul Oakenfold is till up there among my favourites.

The majority of the time I still listen to all the classic stuff from around the 00-04 era.

anything with good strong beats or driving baselines.

  • KRS-ONE
  • xzibit
  • jaylib
  • the roots
  • mercenary

Has anyone ever listened to Edguy? I think they’re pretty good

i actually listen to country on my way to the gym and the way back. its my favorite music, and it relaxes and refocuses me.

then when i get to the gym, i turn to the gym mix and start lifting.[/quote]

That’s cool that you have a gym mix, I think anyone who lifts has a gym mix

Lamb Of God - Redneck
Mudvayne - Determined
Chimaira - Pure Hatred
August Burns Red - Backburner
All That Remains - The Calling
Killswitch Engage - End of Heartache
Saliva - I Walk Alone
Metallica - Battery

Some awesome songs for lifting.

Congrats on naming the first half of my workout mix…literally. Besides saliva i got ALL those songs plus some Devildriver and old skool A7X

Mozart’s Requiem Mass in D minor. Dies Irae.

Nothing is more dramatic than approaching the rack with that playing.

That music follows me everywhere I go, and so does that old maestro guy.

But really, some of you guys need to ditch the weenie music and get into some real shit. The greatest bands to workout to are indubiously Pantera and Slayer.
