Here is what I have been eating lately for breakfast.
2 cups steel cut oats
1 ancho chili pepper crushed to a powder
teaspoon of cinnamon
pinch of salt, pinch of sugar
1 diced up jalepeno
1/2 cup dried cranberries or blueberries
Cook the oats in water for 20 mins. Turn off and add the crushed ancho pepper, jalepeno and all other ingredients. Allow to cool for 5 minutes.
I will get 3 portions out of this. I heat it up in the morning and have it with 2 over easy eggs. I let the yolks run into the oats.
Sometimes I will dice an apple and throw that in also.
Good carb and protien meal and it's hot.
