While I’m at work, I normally eat some almonds, and have a casein based shake for my meals. I was wondering if I ground up the almonds in a coffee grinder, does that have an effect on the GI since fats normally don’t affect GI but grinding up the food does?Thanks
Hi, Brent. I think it probably wouldn’t make a difference. Chewing is not that much different from grinding. And if you drink a lot of MRPs, there’s something awfully satisfying about chomping down on a handful of nuts. (grin)
I think that you will be alright Brent. I often through almonds into my vitamixer when blending shakes and doubt that it is a big deal.
