To those who have trained with a fat bar, what is the purpose? I’ve seen people do fat bar benches and rows. What movements can/should be done with a fat bar and what are the training effects? If they are that beneficial I will consider getting one for my home gym. Hey T-Jack, maybe that would be a good item to review!
They are for training grip strength.
Mostly it seems like people do pulling movements with them. Particularly deads, and fat-bar clean-and-press as a strength challenge/demonstration. I imagine a fat bar would make for some interesting reverse curls too.
