If you’ve been doing or are doing a strength-based program at the moment, the 1-6 program might not provide optimal results.
This isn’t to say that it’s not a great program, however.
To answer your question, in general, though, this type of strength-based regimen will tend to access the higher threshold motor units and require a great amount of force output. Therefore, it would be quite conducive to the trainee who possesses a relatively high amount of fast-twitch fibers.
