F Bombs for Feminism

Stats from the Justice Department tell the real story - there are approximately 100-200 girls under the age of 16 who are involved in prostitution. Not “hundreds of thousands” of child sex slaves but rather a couple of hundred underage prostitutes.
I have to call BS on this. Without even referring to a study or anything. Really? 100 female prostitutes under 16 in the entire US? Doesn’t really pass the sniff test. I’m not saying there are hundreds of thousands, but 100?
I meant underaged prostitutes who are forced into prostitution. I’ll see if I can dig up the source. It was from an interview Christina Hoff Sommers and she was talking about her latest book.

^^

Yep, found it.

It’s myth number 2. Not only is it just a few hundred but many of them are boys.

From the article:

Claim: Between 100,000 and 300,000 girls are pressed into sexual slavery each year in the United States.

Facts: This sensational claim is a favourite of politicians, celebrities and journalists. Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore turned it into a cause célèbre. Both conservatives and liberal reformers deploy it. Former President Jimmy Carter recently said that the sexual enslavement of girls in the US today is worse than American slavery in the 19th Century.

The source for the figure is a 2001 report on child sexual exploitation by University of Pennsylvania sociologists Richard Estes and Neil Alan Weiner. But their 100,000 - 300,000 estimate referred to children at risk for exploitation - not actual victims. When three reporters from the Village Voice questioned Estes on the number of children who are abducted and pressed into sexual slavery each year, he replied, “We’re talking about a few hundred people.” And this number is likely to include a lot of boys: according to a 2008 census of underage prostitutes in New York City nearly half of them turned out to be male…

There you have it. This “statistic” about hundreds of thousands of sex slaves in the US is one of the most oft quoted statistics to give the illusion of crisis. If you want to rouse the masses to indignation nothing beats stories about child sex slave epidemics. If you google this fake stat you can see how widespread it is. These are just some of the organisations pushing this lie:

US Department of Homeland Security

International Crisis Aid

Student Reach

The Wikipedia Page “Prostitution of Children”

Trafficking Hope

Survivor Story

The United Nations

Equality Now

On and on; page after page. This lie has made it all around the world. Hundreds of NGOs like the ones listed above use it to get funding - they claim it’s an urgent crisis and an out of control epidemic. And what sort of image of American society does it send? People all over the world believe that America is a nation of rapists. People and institutions with an anti-American agenda use such fake statistics in their ideological subversion efforts against the US.

OK, that sounds more like it… about 100/YEAR in NEW YORK CITY… and that’s just arrests. (it’s odd that Orlando has maybe a couple of arrests when Tampa has a huge problem with trafficking.)

So nationwide, it averages to over 800/year that are caught, based on data that’s about 5 years old. I can see that.

BTW, have you seen that hoff sommers chick? kinda scary.

I mean, I woke up to what I would describe as a blowjob, and if I was female, insane and liked to be a victim, I would call that forced envelopment, sexual assault, possibly rape, denegrating and demeaning.

Since I am not, I call that a nice way to start a day.
What if that blowjob was by a dude, twice your size, and you couldn’t stop him?

On a lighter note… did anyone catch the last South Park? They had an 8 year old down syndrome boy get raped by a dude in the bathroom.

No the figure is for the entire country. The reason the author mentioned a separate study from New York is to show that half the sex slaves are probably boys because other studies(the one in NYC) have shown that around half of underage prostitutes are boys. The figure of “a few hundred” is in reference to the entire country.

I looked up the article she was referring to… it’s the country.

That reminds me of something really disgusting I saw once that was on a Japanese game show. This is true mind you; I saw it myself:

They had a heterosexual male contestant and the goal of the show is for the contestant to not ejaculate - they got him to take down his pants and stand in front of a little black curtain that covered his dick from the camera. They then brought on a homosexual guy who then proceeds to give the(heterosexual) contestant a blow job. The next ten minutes of the show was a weird looking gay Japanese guy on his knees with his head behind the curtain making slurping noises and the recipient standing with a pained, intense look on his face trying not to ejaculate. Seriously deranged stuff.

Yeah I saw it. The contestant was a famous porn star.

It’s one of those things you see and then wish you hadn’t.

You wouldn’t shove a stranger out of sheer reflex if they suddenly fondled your balls?
Mr. Walkway wrote:
if you substitute “men” and “women” with “people”, your statement would be more objective and accurate.

I personally (and im sure many, many other guys on this site) have had my personal space violated by women…and men (no homo)…many times.

men just don’t have anything at all to gain from crying rape
Well, that was the point I wanted to make. Getting your personal space violated by complete strangers is getting your personal space violated by complete strangers. Who gives a shit if it was a beautiful woman or an ugly woman or a flaming homosexual or a straight guy. You don’t do anything to me without me saying “sure”.

And if you’re the type to let beautiful women do things to you simply because they’re beautiful, them I’m not entirely sure what to say.

I can’t get over this so it deserves a second post. I’d have to say 99.9% of red-blooded males would never feel violated if a beautiful woman fondled their balls or grabbed their asses.
You would be fine with a stranger fondling your balls?

I believe he said “beautiful woman”, not “stranger”.

Context is going to play heavily into this. It’s not like we’re saying every unwanted grope is happening in a dark alley by a person you didn’t know existed until they squeezed your bags.

Your initial post made it seem like you’d feel ‘extremely violated’ if a beautiful woman you’re dancing with at the club got aggressive with her hands downstairs. Like, I mean if you’re not feeling it then say so, but your instinctive reaction defaulting to ‘punch them or at the very least shove them away’ seems pretty fucking dramatic.

I fully accept that I didn’t make the context explicitly clear in my initial post. I figured it would be clear enough, but apparently not.

To clarify- I meant it in the context of some stranger that you do not know or haven’t had any real interaction with fondling your balls.

Obviously it would be a severe overreaction on my part if I punched some beautiful woman if she went and fondled my balls while we danced together.

In fact, I can’t help but laugh just picturing that because of how hilariously obtuse it makes me look.
