explosive or hypertrophy days?


ive been reading chad waterburys articles and im setting up a new program based on his ideas of training...i train mainly for strength although i dont compete or play any sport....i was thinking about doing benches and rows for my max upper body day and dips and chins for an hypertrophy day as he does in antibb...but now i dont know whether to use an hypertrophy day or an explosive day...what do you think is better?..if explosive is better how would you set up the explosive upper and lower body days?..i mean sets reps and exercises?

Perform 8 x 3 of explosive push-ups before each ABBH upper body workout.
Perform 8 x 3 of jumping box squats before each lower body ABBH workout.

Bodyweight will work just fine initially.
