Exercise Pairings for 1RM Testing Days?

Hi CT,
Quick question, I’m about to test my 1RM’s just need some clarification on the best pairings for my exercises.

Currently I have set out:

  1. Bench Press 1RM
  2. Deadlift from Pins (just below knees) 1 RM


  1. Back Squat 1RM
  2. Military Press 1RM

Is this ok or should I instead pair upper body exercises together & lower body exercise together?

Thanks for the help.


Since you have a day off between both, it’s probably ok, but I think testing Thursday/Sunday with that set-up would be a bit better.
