Ethics of Gay Abortions
Disability advocates have expressed concern about the use of selective abortions to screen out the disabled. They note that they had a right to be born.

Now that a widely publicized study has suggested that homosexuality might be an inherited trait, some bloggers have started to question if abortion would be used to screen out homosexuality from the population.

The BBC is reporting that a man’s sexual orientation may be determined by conditions in the womb.

That leads to two interesting questions.

Just as we treat other pre-natal conditions, should we not treat this condition as any other illness?

For those that are pro-choice, should we not offer screening for pregnant woman so that they can make a choice like they do with many other fetal conditions?
Science is so wonderful.

Any woman who aborts a child solely because it is GAY, deserves to be run over by a small truck, over and over and over…

I can’t see many people doing this.

But anyways, I doubt we’ll be able to find concrete genetic evidence of a “gay gene”.

Even if we do, most women will just have the kid and try to “force” him to be heterosexual. Set up a few games of doctor, give em’ there first porno mags a bit early, ect…

However, you condone abortion when it could lead to a bigger tax return.

You must be an atheist.

Or an economist.

Subsidise unwanted pregnancies and get more of it.

Moral hazard and so on.

Of course you think allowing a child to live is immoral. That’s been established already.

Maybe they’re right. On the other abortion thread I have been taught that it is better for a baby to not be born at all rather than face a life of difficulty. Until gays reach the state of equality that they seek, maybe it is better for no more of them to be born.

That is not the point.

If you think unwanted pregnancies are bad, why pay to get more?

Beside the fact that you hardly have the right to spend other peoples money on your ideas.

Plus the real bad ones are good people. Their conscience cheers them on while they are doing incredibly stupid and shortsighted things.

I like evil people better.

I have no public opinion on any of this.

Do whatever you want, I careth not.

Just do not ask the government to enforce or finance your position.

That is exactly the point. You are happy to exchange human life for money.

You like evil people better because water tends to seek it’s own level.

Well, so are you.

So is everybody.

Car traffic, airplanes, electricty, we have safety precautions but not so many that they make those things prohibitively expensive.

Wellcome to the real world.

Thank you!

Plus, you want to be “good” with other peoples money, the cheapest way there is.

Financially and morally.

You forgot firearms. Does your moral relativism apply to guns also?

Do I think that people have the right to bear arms?

Absolutely.
Avarice and greed are gonna drive you over the endless sea
They will leave you drifting in the shallows
Drowning in the oceans of history
Traveling the world, you’re in search of no good
But I’m sure you’ll build your Sodom like you knew you would
Using all the good people for your galley slaves
As your little boat struggles through the warning waves

I wonder how I will get all that heavily armed good people to work as my galley slaves?

Convince them they work for the common good I guess…

I doubt that “study” is at all accurate.

Maybe liking breasts more than asses is genetic, or liking asians more than white girls, or liking BDSM is genetic.

After all, it would make sense that all sexual turn ons would be genetic, right?

Sounds like a plan, comrade.

The concepts of Jules Vernes weren’t terribly accurate either.
