Enlarged Prostate - Weak Urinary Stream

#1

I am 79 and in excellent health and shape - work out four times a a week - under supervision and direct coaching of an experienced trainer, also am active and have excellent eating habits.

I have been using testosterone for about a year started with cream and switched to injections.

I have read that DHT a metabolite of testosterone is synthesized in the prostate from circulating testosterone by the action of the enzyme 5a- reductase, type 2. Causing enlargement of prostate cells.

I would like to get input as to how to reduce the prostate enlargement nutritionally.

Should be posted in the T-Replacement thread. Won't get much traffic being here.

There are herbal based products that can be helpful. One key factor is managing your E2 levels. Can you post lab numbers into this thread?

Read the stickies, there is great info there that applies to you.

5-alpha-reductase inhibitors can bring relief and other drugs have similar modes of action. These drugs can lower your libido so that may be a concern for you.

This might be a good start:
