Don’t you go out and stand around looking for the twisters? That’s what we do here up north.

Uh…no. No, I don’t. What’s funny is, I have dealt with all kinds of weather thru the years. I even tarped a load of Firestone roofing in Prescott, AR in an F1 tornado. Made a 150lb lumber tarp stand straight out like a bed sheet on a clothes line. Beat the antennas off my truck. But, that was before my lil dude came along.

Now, I get scared because I built our lil house myself. I always worry if I did everything right.

In Nebraska, we have two kinds of people. The ones who are convinced the twister will be like Liam Neeson and will track them down and kill them. The others tend to crack open a beer and watch from the garage to see if one shows up.

My sisters run and hide. I look for a beer, lol.

My only close experience with a tornado was an F5 back in 1975. Was 1/2 a mile away from it outside.

Too close!

It was a little close. I could have ended up closer. That one took out 3,000 homes, Fortunately , we had very few casualties, I think only 3.
Then there was the F 0.25 we had in Omaha last spring, lol. Watched it try to form from the office windows.

It knocked over some lawn furniture.

They said that straight line winds did all the damage in town Tuesday. I am skeptical. Glad I missed that. :anguished: It threw some of the metal roofing from the motel into the car lot.

CL, you’re supposed to stop those things. Been grey here all day.

It did anything but fizzle out. No power in half of south Louisiana. Somebody died near Lafayette. People at gym this am were all talking about the flooding.

I slept through it.

Been up since 2:45. Third night in a row with no decent slleep. All three nights Hudley ( the weeney dog) has woke me up multiple times. Tonight he had a tummy ache. I came out of the bed like a scorched hornet, that upset Jed, and it snowballed from there. At 4 I just said f it and made the coffee.
