I like to swig down a 16 oz low carb monster energy drink before a workout. Is there anything wrong with that???

i hate monster for this reason, look at the ingredients label, it says it contains glucose, sucrose, and maltodextrin. fuck that.
if you must, try a drink that lacks any sort of digestable sugar. hopefully sucralose or aspartame being the only sweetener. But be warned those drinks have excessive amounts of caffeine(guarana is essentially caffeine as well).
