Ending FWB

I generally feel bad about being an asshole, but I got this FWB who I’m not intersted in seeing anymore. She tries to make chit chat occasionally via txt msgs, and I haven’t replied in a few days. I think she has gotten the picture, but should I give her an explanation and “closure” with a heart to heart conversation? Seems like an awkwardfest, so I’d like to avoid that for my own selfish reasons.

What’s the standard etiquette in these situations?

Etiquette is to be honest with the girl and tell her that you don’t want to continue it, since she most likely thinks having sex with you will lead to something. Even if you think she doesn’t, she does. It’s the right thing to do.

That being said, I’ve done exactly what you have described, numerous times. Whether you bring it up the right way, or ween her off, you’re the asshole in the situation. You can be less of an asshole though. Good luck.
