I am having some trouble looking for the paper mentionned in an article here a while ago. It involved a study where the subject were made to maximally contract a muscle and then EMS was applied to the same muscle. It was noticed that the forced produced by EMS+human CNS input was higher. I am having a bitch of a time looking this up in compendix…
