Since it happened in Boulder Colorado the hippies want an eye for an eye. Personally I think they should fine him for poaching a trophy animal ($11,500 Fine) and let him keep his job.

He probably won’t keep his job as he broke several DOW regulations along with internal department rules also.
He lacks common sense. The department is better off without him.
