I just got through doing my first week of ABBH II. I did elevated heel squats for the first time today, and was able to do significantly less weight as compared to a regular back squat. In fact, it’s just barely more than I front squat. Is there normally a weight difference between the elevated and reg. version of back squats? I also thought that it might just be me getting used to the form and feeling of having my heels elevated. Any insight into the world that is elevated heel squatting is appreciated. Thanks.
I always was under the impression that having elevated heals makes traveling through the full R.O.M significantly easier. From personal experience, I was not able to add more weight to my squat, but my overall form became dramatically better.
