Are you kidding me?
Yeah, that was stupid. All I was trying to do was be unbiased and give two examples on each side.

If voting changed anything it would be illegal.

Are you kidding me? Why would you tell young voters to view some of the most biased, sensationalist reporting in the world in order to help them make decisions?

I agree that young people must vote, but if they’re going to read anything to educate themselves before they do, they should simply read the Voter Information Guide provided by the state.

Simple, straightforward, and it isn’t spewed forth by the ridiculous talking heads.

GO GIANTS!!!
Agreed.

Also, if there are tons of people in this country who think like some of the massive crap I see in the PWI forum, we are all fucked anyway.
I agree that PWI is not the best way to gain some objective knowledge about politics, but hey politics are not objective. But some of the debates at PWI are interresting. and you learn alot about how conservatives and libertarians think :stuck_out_tongue:

If there are people here who wants to know more about politics, I would recommend that they read this authors:

adam smith: to learn about classic liberalism.
burke and hegel: to learn about classic conservatism.
proudhon, bakunin, kropotkin, max stirner: to learn about classic anarchism.
marx, bernstein and lenin: to learn about classic socialism.
j. s. mill:: to learn about socialliberalism.
mussolini and hitler: to learn about fascism. ( I know its controversial to suggest them, but it does not harm to learn about evil ).

they can start by buying a textbook in political philosophy. they probably touch on most of this thinkers.

This will give everyone a basic understanding of the main ideologies out there.

 • read some history about the american revolution and up to present day.

ps. as allways I am sorry if I misspelled anything
