Eggmeal = P+F

This is a new(at least to me) creation that I came up with last night. Scrambled eggs(whole egg and egg white mixture) with ground flax seed added in during cooking and then mixed with natty peanut butter after it is cooked. Mmmm good mixture. Give it a try and let me know what you think. Thanks Boom#80

Surely you kid me.

I kid you not. You have to try this to believe it yourself.

arent the efas in flax really sensitive to heat?

Yes but I only add them in at the very last when the egg is pretty much done to mix the flax in the frying pan. They are not in the heat for long at all.

“They are not in the heat for long at all.”

Except for the whole hot cooked egg part. I don’t know about you, but if I try to eat scrambled eggs right out of the pan, it burns my mouth. That’s by far more than enough to make the omega-3s go rancid. Bad idea to add anything like that to anything heated.

As a general rule, you should always eat sources of EFAs raw and with a little saturated fat and antioxidants to help prevent oxidation of the EFAs in your body. Example: 1 tbs fish oil, 1-2 tsp coconut oil, 250 mg vitamin C.
