Does the Eastern Bloc literature contain anything about hypertrophy or is it only about strength and performance?

The soviets spent a lot of time trying to work out training protocols that could be used with the reducing drug levels as was dictated by the testing from 1976 on, that got better and better.
Without drugs you are never going to get too big. They usually had blocks of training devoted to hypertrophy, but despite the claims of many they were doing nothing new, but it was how they put these blocks together, that they found beneficial.
My best source is Dr. Anatolie Bondarchuck, with his “Long Term Preparation of Throwers”, lots of well structured variety throughout a well planned year.
