Similar situation for me with a 40 something prima donna in my office. I have to balance my 46 years’ practicing with maintaining the partnership.

If this guy’s a good fit for your practice, your wisdom will impress him. Likely already does, considering your hip replacement comeback makes you look like a tough sob.

Getting older is easier physically sometimes compared to dealing with partnership issues.
It’s direct and obvious. Workout too hard , you know it will hurt. Dealing with conniving, treachery is more challenging.
Payback doesn’t need to be immediate to be useful.
I’ll get over it.

Feeling my way back with the bar.
I tried a little leg drive on the bench , could not feel the connection on the new hip side.
Going to start back with a barbell, just sets of 10 very little weights till I figure it out.
90 days post op and ready to start seeing where things go.

BP was easy, almost too easy, no leg drive from my new hip, slow and steady. Going to go with lay pulldowns for a little while, then pull-ups again.

Supersets of back and legs. Felt great.
Lots of room to switch around the DL variations and up the reps or add weights for the BE.
Finally trying to let go of squats

Squats are totally off the table? There are no variations that would work?

For now.
Maybe Zerchers in the future.
I’d probably try SSBGM if I were to put a bar on my back.
I’m intimidated by the axial load to my hip replacement
