Dynamic Effort Training

i’m intermediate. i’m doing 5.2-5.5x bw total if that helps. the bottom of all my lifts are my weak points.
i do not train with bands/chains. would smith machine de bench work out well?
also, straight weight- lifting like the weight is a max?

You mean 2.2-2.5x bw right? Otherwise…total bullshit.

OP, you sound like you don’t have alot of weightroom experience, so I personally think you should stop worrying about all this shit and just hit the basics to get stonger and add some muscle. Do that for a few years and then try other shit.

you missed the ‘total’ lol
yeah perhaps i need to add muscle first. i’m kinda fat at 170-175 (16%) and want to compete in 181 anyways.
