You do a body fat caliper test? I donā€™t know anyone that does the bodpod thing thatā€™s too expensive. I think yur plenty lean u look 6% ish to meā€¦ I donā€™t compete or anything but I have friends that do. They look about same. They do stuff to dump water 2-3 days b4 show. Iā€™ve seen articles on it for photo shoots Iā€™m sure u read same stuff. Also know guys that put preparation H on abs to tighten skin for shows & shoots. My GFs brothers do modeling they do all kinds of gay shit b4 shoots. But go for it bro yur lean AF donā€™t let mind fool ya. If estrogen making u soft pump up the test prop & var canā€™t miss with a rock hard vieny look

Heres a relaxed picture from this morning.

I certainly feel like Iā€™m 10% or above even. I have got calipers but I havenā€™t used them as of yet. Weight is still holding, did some HIIT cardio this morning, was a good change to the usual hour uphill treadmill walk.

However, looking at some other dudes from previous shows I certainly dont feel lean enough. Nevertheless im sticking to diet, sticking to the training and the diet. I havent yet bought the ticket to compete for fear of not being ready, I shall do that this weekend after assessing condition.

I saw you mentioned the refeed didnā€™t go as planned. How depleted were you prior? I always find it most effective if I cut carbs completely for 3 days prior to refeed to really deplete myself it makes my body really soak up the carbs when I start refeed.

Gluten is a major issue for me as well when I refeed thatā€™s why I mentioned to stay away from wheat and more towards white rice. I also said low sodium let me rephrase that tho what I meant was not any more sodium then normal but salt will def help during a refeed if your already on a really low sodium diet you might want to add some more as well as electrolyte drinks.

As previously mentioned I donā€™t compete so I donā€™t know the time frame as far as weigh in etc before show. But if possible try to make the refeed more then a day I always find it easier and more effective if I stretch it 2-3 days with major carb intake pre and post workout.

I wasnt as depleted as I am now. I was still on around 200g of carbs. Now im down to 100g on training days and 70g on cardio days.
Im not sure if I should do a refeed now until Iā€™m at the BF% i want to be at, so just the carb load pre-show or if i should do one this weekend. @zeek1414

I would probably wait pre show. If your unsure tho it wonā€™t really set anything back as far as fat burning if you do one this weekend. Try to make that day before the refeed an almost carb less day. I always find that works best if I have low carb days before with a zero carb day right before mixed with a total body workout it really helps deplete my muscles allowing them to get fully saturated the following day almost like they are starving for carbs and want to fill up worried they will run out again. It might be a bit of bro science but it seems to work my buddies who compete swear by it.

So what I will do is a ā€˜mini peak weekā€™ starting from Monday 15th. This is to assess the amount of carbs needed for me to fill out before hitting the stage.

So assuming my show is going to be the following Sunday (21st August), Iā€™ll be 6 days out as of Monday.

My plan is the following:

Monday: carbs at 100g, normal weights session

Tuesday: carbs at 50g, rest day

Wednesday: glycogen depleting circuits, carbs at 50g

Thursday: glycogen depleting circuits, 50g carbs

Friday: glycogen depleting, 0-20g carbs. (Start carb loading this evening, 400g)

Saturday: rest day, 400g carbs

Sunday/show day: 400g carbs.

Up until the final day I will be increasing sodium and water intake, finally cutting out both around 8 hours before the show.
